Margitt Holzt are Holger Neuwerck and Martin Schramm, both residing in Hamburg, Germany. They work both between different styles incorporating elements from plunderphonics and sampledelica with a minimal approach over the lenght of the pieces. Their early works feature a psychedelic way in merging and collaging different sound sources together. The work onward the -2010 years see a focus on more minimal sounds describing hollow athmospheres with flanging deep basslines and sparse placed sonic elements. The concerts both give are always the creation of a new piece- mixing single stems from old and new works crafts a new piece often featuring private moments captured with an oldfashioned MD recorder and a minimal setup in studio.

MARGITT HOLZT sind HOLGER NEUWERCK + MARTIN SCHRAMM. Das Duo existiert seit nunmehr 10 Jahren. Wann immer der Herzblut-DJ und der Geräuschesammler und Maler zusammenwirken, entstehen Soundscapes von bizarrer, teils verstörender Schönheit. Die Musik bewegt sich im Spannungsfeld von Musique Concrete, Fieldrecordings und Loopeffekten. Dabei überraschen sie mit abrupten Stimmungswechseln und streuen gelegentlich Zweifel an der Ernsthaftigkeit ihres Tuns mit ein, dies ist in der Zunft der Geräuschemusiker eher selten anzutreffen.Eine mitunter humorvolle Wende bekommt es durch die UNKNOWN SINGING OBJECTS- ein weiteres Projekt der beiden ambitionierten Sänger! Das Konzert anlässlich des BLURRED EDGES, ist der erste Gig seit des Auftritts beim AVANTGARDE FESTIVAL 2011 in Schiphorst.
